Do I need a breast reduction or just a breast lift?
In a breast reduction, I reduce the volume of the breast and lift the position of the nipple areolar complex. In a breast lift I only do the latter. You are a candidate for breast reduction if you suffer from heaviness of the breast, skin irritation in the breast folds, and shoulder/back or neck pain, or if you feel that the volume of the breast is too big inside the bra. If you are satisfied with the breast volume while in the bra but the breast is droopy, you are probably a candidate for the breast lift.
Do you need to remove stitches after surgery?
No. All stitches used in breast augmentation are internal and dissolvable.
Where do you place the scars in breast reduction/ lift?
A breast reduction / lift can be done with either a short scar (lollipop) or inverted T scar (anchor).
